With so much conflicting and sometimes false advice floating around the internet on how to eat healthy, it may be difficult to know where to turn

Disordered eating and anxiety are only two of the mental and emotional health problems that have been linked to diet culture. 

According to Benson, the healthiest eating pattern is not so much a "diet" but a way of life: "it's one that is flexible in nature, is generally nutrient-dense, and allows for foods that you enjoy."

Some diets by their names alone have been shown to benefit health, however this is in no way attributable to the diet's catchy moniker.
